Goldenrod

Judith Chatowsky

waves
from
the side
of the
highway
filling barren
gaps
in once
used lots
mustard heads
sit heavy
on long
slim stalks

cars pass
the gilded
weed
becomes
liquid
in the
amber
light of
dusk.
